“1971 Pontiac GTO that I purchased back in the 80's.
I was actually looking for a '70' at the time,
but I just couldn't let this one get away.

It came from the factory dressed in Cardinal Red with Sandalwood buckets, console, AC, AM/FM Stereo. I have since added tilt wheel with sport wheel, courtesy lights, rally gauges. In 1997 restoration began and the body was removed from the frame. I did add some modern suspension pieces, 17" wheels and tires and bigger brakes to make her more nimble on the road, but of coause
I retained all the original components. Presently, I have a Jim Butler 455 c.i. motor that has been bored and stroked. The original unmolested motor resides in my basement. The exterior is painted GM torch red and the interior has been redone in original skins. This car is pure enjoyment on the road and shouts Pontiac Excitement!”

“I was on a family vacation in Kentucky 5 years ago when I picked up an Auto Trader and found a Triple Black '71 Lemans Sport Convertible for sale at $6500.00.
It had the Endura Optioned front end and I HAD to have it. I left my vacation early, struck a deal to buy it for $6000.00 and summarily did a body-off restoration. I've added just about every option possible: Windows, Locks, AC, tilt, Power Driver's seat,
Factory original side mouldings, 15x7 Honeycombs, functional ram-air. This car sits parked/covered now mostly waiting for that great fun summer drive.”
